This is an independent music blog stationed in Austin, TX formally run by two friends, Ryan Ricks and Brendon Hoeferkamp. The music we share is ideal for surfing, swimming, skating, moonlight drives, a cold one, searching for that perfect greenbelt spot, getting in trouble, DIY kids,  young guns, Super 8 film, jorts, get-togethers with friends, Jersey mentalities, your definition of  ‘Punk’, biking,  people who were born to fish but forced to work. You get the picture, we basically share bad-ass and meaningful tunes.

    Dear Ryan and The Endless Bummer,

    My name is Brandon Leslie. As a bit of back round, my band “The West” has spent the last 5 months working on a five song EP with producer DJ Schwartz (Jez Dior). I was turned on to your blog by my friend James a while back and I really dig what you do. I discovered “The Everywheres” from the write-up you did on them and I have been a fan ever since!

    Anyway, I’m writing to let you know about the current project that I am involved with. It’s called “The West,” a female fronted group with a few guys to balance out the mix.

    We are a fairly new band but have been trying to turn more people onto our self titled five song EP. We have been giving our music away for free in exchange for an email address. We’ve been working on a bunch of new stuff, with the thought that we’ll get another new album and music video done before summer with Director Daniel Iglesias (The Neighbourhood)

      Thank you for enjoying my blog, that means a lot! I listened to “Wild Hearts” and loved it. I have a write up completed and I will post it in the next day or two (I like to space out my posts in accordance to genre etc.). I’d love a copy of your EP once it is finished and I’d do my best to advertise it. Thanks again,

    Hey guys my name is Mason Hertweck.

    I am going to be a junior at the University of North Texas and I am currently majoring in Film. Since last February I have been working on an EP. I passionately love and have an intimate knowledge of Hip/Hop and have always dreamt of making my own music.

    The EP is titled “MASONderstood EP” and my persona is MASONderstood. The song I am sending you is the single off of the EP and is titled “D.D.D. (meaning: Daily Dependence to Drown)” I am in the final mixing/mastering stages for the rest of it. I plan on releasing the full EP for free download on my newly created Soundcloud August 17th. This project is completely self-funded and original. I’ve never done anything like this before and even if you choose not to post it on the blog, I would love to hear some feedback. Constructive criticism is highly valuable, especially from those who operate a music blog and have heard everything.

    I have attached the artwork for both the single and full EP. That is original as well; I took the photographs with my iPhone. As you will hear, I used clips from my favorite TV show Frasier to reinforce the lyrics and these are a recurring theme throughout the EP. I hope you guys like it and look forward to hearing back from you!
